Searching for Music on Your Computer

The FreeAmp My Music feature searches your computer for your MP3 files and Playlists (.m3u or .pls files), and then creates a collection of your music in one place, automatically!

To Search your Computer for Music

1.     From the FreeAmp Main Window, click the My Music button.

2.     From the My Music window, select File, and then Search For Music.

3.     Set the options on the Search For Music dialog and then click the Start Search button.

FreeAmp provides a way for you to control where it searches when looking for music on your computer. When you select the Search For Music menu item, the Search For Music dialog appears.

Entire Filesystem sets FreeAmp to search for music on your entire filesystem.

My Home Directory sets FreeAmp to search for music on only in your home directory.

/usr/share sets FreeAmp to search for music only in usr/share directory.

/Let me select a directory allows you to type a directory for FreeAmp to search for music.
