[10:13:42] <yuvadm> any plans to add mainline u-boot to the aarch64 repos? or are we assuming that's out of scope?
[10:37:11] <solskogen|M> is there a one-size-fits-(almost)all config for u-boot? If that's the case, I'm all for it. But no plans.

[12:26:36] <SpieringsAE> I know barebox uses the bootloader spec like systemd-boot does
[12:26:49] <SpieringsAE> but I don't know much about u-boot
[12:28:20] <SpieringsAE> only uefi boot from u-boot, currently using that on 2 riscv boards

[19:24:15] <phantomas> I have a working minimal config for rk3588. I was planning on adapting the config from your MR since it mention you could not boot your rockchip device (neither could I). would you be interested in the resulting patch ?
[19:29:51] <bschnei> I think your thinking of Solskogen. he's got an odriod m2 I believe. I've got marvell armada 3720 which works well because I've built u-boot for it with UEFI support so systemd-boot works out of the box
[19:31:02] <bschnei> MRs that add device support are welcome provided you can confirm it actually works :)
[19:34:13] <phantomas> sorry, I was thinking about the one on the kernel :) https://gitlab.archlinux.org

[19:36:13] <bschnei> yup that is what I assumed you were referring to: kernel config. I've accepted a few MRs already from others with snapdragon devices. I'm all for that because currently the config is ultra lightweight with limited confirmed device support
[19:37:19] <bschnei> also: when/if users can confirm support, it would be great to keep the doc here up to date: https://ports.archlinux.page

[22:26:57] <solskogen|M> phantomas: Yes, you can. One PKGBUILD for all supported devices :-) But it will ofc be multiple binary packages.
