Checking Host Capability with clear-linux-check-config.sh

It is a good idea to verify if the host system has the appropriate capabilities to run Clear Linux* Project for Intel® Architecture before installing any build or running any image. Release folders current and releases contain a script called clear-linux-check-config.sh which can be used to perform the verification. The steps to use the script are given below:

  1. Download the script and make it executable by running:
    chmod +x ./clear-linux-check-config.sh
  2. To check if the host is capable of running Clear Linux* Project for Intel® Architecture natively on bare metal, run the script as:
    ./clear-linux-check-config.sh host
  3. To check if the host system is capable of running a Kata Container, run the script as:
    ./clear-linux-check-config.sh container
